Who is the Librarian?
Librarians take care of books and documents in a library, help people find information and use it effectively for personal and professional purposes. They must have knowledge of a wide variety of scholarly and public information sources and must follow trends related to publishing, computers, and the media to oversee the selection and organisation of library materials. Librarians manage staff and develop and direct information programmes and systems for the public and ensure that information is organised in a manner that meets users needs.
Dear SRS Students and Parents,

Library citizenship
Keep books in school bag or the yellow primary library bag when transporting them to or from the library so that pages will not wrinkle or curl if exposed to moisture.
Use bookmark rather than bending the corner of a page or leaving the book open flat on its face.
Keep books out of reach of babies or very young children.
Wash hands before reading a book, otherwise the pages may become sticky or smeared.
Turn pages carefully so they won’t tear or get damaged.
Return books on time so that other children can enjoy reading them.
